This committee was created in 1989 in response to Arizona Board of Regents action transferring the authority for approval to the Provost for special course fees and deposits of $50 and less. (The Board retains the authority to approve fees over $50 and to approve fees in smaller amounts that are outside established guidelines.) The Committee reviews requests for special fees, deposits and academically related non-course fees and provides a recommendation for appropriate action.

The purpose of the DC-CG is to provide the President a "pulse" of campus climate diversity issues and top of mind concerns for campus constituencies. We ask that you bring to the meeting this information for GPSC to share with the President. The Diversity Coalition (DC) is a resource for the President as well as for all campus community members, organizations, and departments who wish to access expert guidance and creative strategies to infuse diversity and inclusion within their discourse, policies, and practices so that the University of Arizona can produce the highest quality scholarship, teaching, and service possible. In addition to serving as an educational resource, the DC functions as a communications conduit between the President, diverse constituency groups, and the broader campus community to ensure that the UA is an accessible academic community that supports the full participation of all those who learn and work here.

The Faculty Senate Executive Committee shall establish the agenda for each meeting of the Faculty Senate and shall receive reports from the officers, the chairs of the Senate Standing Committees, the Graduate and Undergraduate Councils and SPBAC. All action items that are forwarded by the Faculty Senate standing committees come to the Faculty Senate as a seconded motion.

Addresses issues regarding the implementation and functioning of the procedures contained in the Shared Governance Guidelines and Agreements as may be entered into from time to time. It will establish and maintain processes to (1) review compliance with the agreement, (2) examine ways in which apparent breaches of the agreement can be addressed, and (3) consider possible extensions of the agreement. It is the body to which members of the University community can bring particular shared governance concerns, and it will also examine whether the agreement has been violated or is in need of clarification or modification.

The University of Arizona bears a responsibility to exercise leadership in labor and human rights matters. To this end, the University Committee for Monitoring Labor and Human Rights Issues strives to ensure that fundamental labor and human rights, particularly those articulated in the April 30, 1999 Commitments relating to Sweatshops, are implemented by University
a. The committee makes recommendations to the President regarding fundamental labor and human rights issues including codes of conduct for licensees, monitoring of licensees, efforts to improve licensee compliance, and relations with non-compliant licensees.
b. The committee is also charged with educating the University community and the broader public about these issues.

Makes recommendations to the President of the University (or his/her designee, upon request) about potential or changeable relationships between any part of the University of one or more businesses or corporations.Consider proposals in three areas:a. Use of the University's name or symbols by an external entity

c. Public display of advertisements or other corporate symbols. The committee is also charged with recommending modifications to this Policy or proposing additional policies, so long as its policy-change proposals are approved by the Faculty Senate before they become recommendations to the President. - Open Access Task Force

Open Access is free access to findings and publications that are supported with tax money. It also is a good way to build science above science by sharing new findings with other people. There are different ways for this aim including supporting open access journals, fundings from institution to make papers and article open access and etc. (I tried to squeeze the concept as much as I could). The university of Arizona and faculty senate is interested in this issue so they decided to work on it so they decided to form this committee. Open access has a lot of benefits for Grad students as students and also as next generation of academic faculties.

The Graduate Council provides a forum in which matters of concern to graduate education may be discussed and the mission of the Graduate College fulfilled. The Graduate Council works with the Graduate College to review, establish, and update policies affecting graduate education. The Graduate Council is the shared-governance body for graduate education and is part of the Faculty Senate.

GIDPAC is committed to addressing some of the unique challenges that the GIDPs face in terms of funding and student support. GIDPAC is also active in developing new initiatives in promoting of the GIDPs as a university-wide system for graduate education.

The Arizona Student Media Board is an independent panel of students, faculty, staff and others that meets as needed during the school year to oversee and advise certain areas of the student media operation. The board is primarily advisory in capacity, but does have authority over the selection and, if necessary, dismissal of editors in chief and other top student managers in the student media. The board also reviews grievances and complaints.

The Health & Recreation Fee Student Advisory Board is advisory only and will work with the leadership of the Campus Health Service and the Department of Campus Recreation to offer UA student input and perspectives. Should any issues arise that require further UA administrative consideration, the Vice President for the Division of Student Affairs will have final decision making authority.

The UA Green Fund Committee is composed of 10 UA students responsible for soliciting, accepting, reviewing, and funding project proposals. The ASUA President appointed four undergraduate students to the Committee and the GPSC president appointed three graduate students. The seven appointed students then selected an additional three at-large students through an open process.

- University Hearing Board

Evaluates Student Code of Conduct violations. The University Hearing Board does not have a standing/regular meeting schedule, as members are called upon as needed (i.e., when a student requests an appeal of University suspension or expulsion, permanent notation on transcript or revocation of degree); however, we will have training sessions in the Fall semester that Board member are required to participate in as a condition of service. hen a Hearing Board is scheduled, I email all of the Hearing Board Members to let them know when it will be, approximately how long it will last, and the student’s last name (in case of any conflict of interest). I request they notify me of their eligibility to serve on that Hearing Board. Code of Conduct and Academic Integrity hearings both require 2 students to make up the board.
Hearings can last from an hour to all day, depending on the type of hearing it is. Those selected as the Hearing Board members must be able to attend the entire hearing. They actually are present during the process, and deliberate following the hearing to make their decision. Then, whoever has been selected as the Chair will prepare a letter that will go to either the Vice Provost (for Academic Integrity) or the Vice President of Student Affairs (for Code of Conduct) with their decision.

The University of Arizona Alumni Association’s governing board is comprised of 19 directors who are responsible for the management and corporate affairs of the association, including oversight of the budget and financial investments. This board is a 501(c)(3) non-profit board incorporated in Arizona.
The governing board works through a committee structure that oversees the association’s strategic plan and the various programming areas of the Alumni Association, which are designed to establish a lifelong relationship that begins with our current students and continues to ensure a "Wildcat for Life" tradition that keeps alumni connected to the UA and their colleges.
