Communications Director:  (Closed)

The Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC) works with other entities across campus to represent graduate and professional student needs, and to advocate for policies and practices which improve graduate and professional education. The Communications Director assists the President, Executive Board, and General Council by communicating via social media and email with the UA Graduate and Professional students. Through public engagement, this director will inform students of GPSC’s successes and goals and encourage students to get involved.

Funding Director:  (Closed)

The Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC) offers grant awards to graduate and professional students for Professional Travel, Research Projects, and Professional Development. The GPSC seeks a friendly, service-oriented graduate or professional student to help support and ensure the smooth operations of all their programs. The Funding Administrator will assist the GPSC and the Grants Director in managing the application and review process to ensure the programs operate efficiently.

The Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC) offers grant awards to graduate and professional students for Professional Travel, Research Projects, Practice Grants, Basic Need, Completion and Professional Development. The GPSC seeks a friendly, service-oriented graduate or professional student to help support and ensure all their grant programs' smooth operation. The Grants Director will coordinate with the Funding Director and other members of GPSC and a designated committee to develop the programs and ensure they operate fairly and in the best interests of all graduate and professional students.

Events Director:  (Closed)

The Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC) offers social and professional events throughout the academic year. The GPSC seeks a friendly, service-oriented graduate or professional student to help support and ensure the smooth operations of all GPSC Events and Socials. The Events Director will coordinate with members of GPSC and the Marketing and Social Committee to plan events including (but not limited to): Student Showcase, Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week, Grad & Professional Student Ball, GPSC Council Inauguration and Member recognition event. This position will also collaborate with the Graduate College for Graduate Orientation and will work with the Graduate Center to support the Grad Slam event. In addition, the Events Director works closely with the designated committee and committee chair to assist with smaller events throughout the year, which may include socials, forums, debates, and/or fundraising functions.

Elections Director: (Closed)

The Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC) seeks a friendly, service-oriented graduate or professional student to help support and ensure the smooth operations of all GPSC Elections. The Elections Director is responsible for the planning, coordinating, marketing, and executing General and Special Elections, and others as needed. The Director is also responsible for developing marketing material to elicit student interest. The Director will work with the GPSC Executive Board, General Council, and other GPSC personnel to ensure fair and transparent elections.

Institute Director: (Closed)

The Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC) seeks to hire an Institute Director. This position will assist and advise the President, Executive Board, and General Council through research, survey, and assessment. The Director will work closely with the GPSC Executive Board and other GPSC personnel to track legislative and university issues that impact UA Graduate and Professional students. The Director will also be responsible for developing, administering, and analyzing surveys and focus groups.

Policy Director: (Closed)

The Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC) seeks to hire a Policy Director. This position will assist and advise the President, Executive Board, and General Council by tracking federal and state legislative and university issues that impact UA Graduate and Professional students. Through public communication and serving on committees, this director is able to inform the GPSC General Council about current events regarding state and national legislative affairs.
