Administrative Associate (Grad College): Jess Collins

Jess Collins is an Administrative Associate at the Graduate college with over 20 years of management experience in corporate, nonprofit, and academic settings. She is a member of the University of Arizona Faculty/Staff choir and serves on the choir board as Secretary. She obtained her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Arizona and is pursuing a Master of Social Work. Jess feels a deep connection to the vocation as an End-of-Life Doula and has a passion for the field of Human Resources. She is an active musician, who sings, plays bass guitar, and percussion. Her music can be found on most streaming services. Jess is eager to assist with your Graduate and Professional Student Council queries and is excited to be a part of the exceptional U of A community.
Operations and Communications Director: Brandon Miura-Akagi

Hello Everyone! My name is Brandon Miura-Akagi and I am a mixture of both Operations/Communications Director. My primary responsibilities are managing the GPSC Email, Website and now I have taken on outreach/communication through our Instagram/Twitter/Facebook and our Weekly Newsletter. I also oversee the Cap/Gown Program as well. We are always look to expand and explore how we can further support y’all! One way of thinking was doing a Wildcat Wednesday Promotion on our social media platforms. If you would want to talk about ideas, or maybe even advertise yourselves then that would be great! Policy Director: Malonie Nicols

Hi everyone, I am Malonie Nicols and I am the new Policy Director. I am currently helping to get students registered to vote, and leading up to the state election, will be helping to provide detailed information about the candidates and the propositions. Outside of GPSC, I am a second year Masters Student and Research Assistant with the Dept of Computer Science. I blog/share/send out a newsletter once in a while (@beingenfa). Before arriving at UofA, I worked in empowering and bringing more visibility to gender minorities in tech in my home state Kerala, India through my non-profit Pehia Foundation (pehia.org)

Grants Director: Aakanksha Arora

Hello, I'm Aakanksha Arora, a Master's student in Business Analytics. It's my pleasure to introduce myself as the Grants Director at GPSC. My role involves working closely with GPSC members and a dedicated committee to develop and execute various grant programs.
When I'm not busy with my work at GPSC, I enjoy connecting with people and exploring diverse culinary experiences. I find immense joy in expanding my knowledge of different cultures and traditions through their cuisine. I also have a keen interest in photography, and love capturing memories from my travels.
I'm excited to be a part of the GPSC team and to make meaningful contributions to the organization's mission. Looking forward to connecting with you all soon!

Events Director: Srishti Gurung

Srishti Gurung is a Masters of Finance candidate at the Eller College of Management, specializing in Corporate Finance. Her focus as the events Director at GPSC is to plan and organize events throughout the academic year. Her interest in event planning and management was developed when she started volunteering, planning and executing successful events during her high school and subsequently in undergrad as well. She hopes to bring her experiences, skills and her passion for event planning to GPSC and help create unforgettable experiences.
